Our special recipe for beef shawarma 🤩
Shawarma is a spicy meat that is eaten either sandwiched in pita bread or on a plate. It can be chicken or beef. This preparation tends to make us think of kebab meat even if it is not identical to this Turkish meat.
Today we are going to show you our recipe for beef shawarma, for this you will need:
- 500g beef tenderloin
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt pepper
- Shawarma spices
To start, cut the meat thinly into strips, then put it in a salad bowl, add the vinegar, the shawarma spices, the salt, the pepper, the olive oil, mix well by hand then leave to marinate all night in the refrigerator.
To cook, brown the meat in a pan with a little olive oil.
Ingredients for the tarator sauce:
- A clove of garlic
- 2 lemons
- Tahina (sesame cream)
To do this, crush a clove of garlic, squeeze your 2 lemons, add a good coffee cup of sesame cream to your preparation, add salt and a little water until the thickness is a little liquid but still creamy.
The accompaniments:
- Pita bread
- Tomatoes
- pickled cucumber
- A few chopped fresh mint leaves
